Spiritual Baths: A Beginner's Rite

A cleansing bath is the foundation of all conjure. It strips off what has clung to you and readies you for the work ahead.

Add a capful of wash to warm water. To cleanse, work downward from head to toe; to draw, work upward from feet to heart. Pray your psalm or intention over the water as you go.

Dispose of the used water respectfully — at a crossroads, a running stream, or thrown out the front door toward the road, depending on your aim.
